Technology Description
The StormvaultTM is a multi-baffled vault structure designed to remove sediment, oil and grease and various other contaminants from stormwater runoff. It is a detention and sedimentation vault, which makes use of a permanent pool. |
Limitations
If the Stormvault™ Mitigation System is designed and installed correctly, there is minimal possibility of failure. There are no moving parts to bind or break, nor are there parts that are particularly susceptible to wear or corrosion. Lack of maintenance may cause the system to operate at a reduced efficiency, and it is possible that eventually the system will become filled with sediment up to the top of permanent pool. |
